Medstar Ambulance of Mendocino County Inc. offers exciting and rewarding career opportunities amidst the natural beauty and diversity of California's North Coast. We provide 911-emergency ambulance service to a first-due response area of 850 square miles. Medstar also provides backup services to the primary providers in adjacent response areas, as well as inter-facility transfers and special event standbys.

Are you a new EMT or Paramedic looking to gain experience? Though it's not every day you'll make the difference between life and death, the variety of exposure to EMS that you'll receive at Medstar is invaluable. Call volume fluctuates from day to day, as do the types of calls, from lift assists to major trauma.

The terrain is just as varied, from urban city centers and flat valley floors to rugged, remote wilderness. We interact frequently with air medical services when weather permits--which also runs the gamut, including plenty of sunshine, heavy fog, frost and ice, rain, and even snow from time to time.
