      <title>HeartCode® ACLS (Online + Hands-On) (01/01/2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;HeartCode® ACLS is a self-directed, blended learning course (online portion, followed by hands-on session)&lt;/strong&gt; that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;After registering and paying, students will be e-mailed a unique link within one to three business days (Mon-Fri) to enter the online portion of the course, which consists of a self-assessment followed by a team dynamics lesson and 10 in-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and two megacode cases. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the written exam with a score of 84%, then schedule a hands-on practice session with Medstar for full course completion. &lt;strong&gt;We are currently scheduling hands-on sessions 3 to 5 business days out.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;u&gt;Course Duration&lt;/u&gt;: The online portion can be completed in 7 hours, depending on the student’s level of experience. The hands-on session can take up to 5 hours.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>HeartCode® Skills Verification (01/01/2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Skills competency verification is available by appointment for providers who have completed the online portion of AHA HeartCode® BLS, ACLS or PALS independent of Medstar. Be sure you have completed all online coursework at &lt;a href="https://elearning.heart.org/" title="Complete online coursework at elearning.heart.org" target="_blank"&gt;elearning.heart.org&lt;/a&gt; prior to requesting skills verification.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Providers who have registered for HeartCode® BLS, ACLS or PALS through Medstar should NOT register again here.&lt;/strong&gt; Skills verification is included with your original course registration. Instead, email &lt;a href="mailto:training@medstarmendocino.org" title="Email training@medstarmendocino.org" target="_blank"&gt;training@medstarmendocino.org&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;to schedule your skills verification session once online coursework is complete.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;After registering, you can expect contact by e-mail and/or phone within one to three business days to schedule your appointment. &lt;strong&gt;We are currently scheduling 3 to 5 business days out.&lt;/strong&gt; Unless otherwise arranged, skills testing sessions are conducted at the Medstar Training Center located at 960 N State St, Ukiah, CA 95482.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>HeartCode® PALS (Online + Hands-On) (01/01/2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;HeartCode® Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a self-directed, blended learning course&lt;/strong&gt; for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;After registering and paying, providers will be e-mailed a unique link within one to three business days (Mon-Fri) to begin the online course. Access to the &lt;em&gt;PALS Provider Manual&lt;/em&gt; eBook (20-3120) is included and can be accessed from within the course. Upon successful completion of all online coursework, providers then schedule a hands-on skills session with Medstar's AHA PALS Instructor for full course completion. &lt;strong&gt;We are currently scheduling hands-on sessions 3 to 5 business days out.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;u&gt;Course Duration&lt;/u&gt;: Due to the adaptive technology used in this course, the completion time for the online portion varies based on the provider’s self-assessment and knowledge of the cognitive material. The hands-on session can take up to 5 hours.&lt;/p&gt;
